Worldwide is an Irish-based non-governmental, international, humanitarian
organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the
ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. . Our
mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements
in their lives which last and spread without on-going support from Concern.
Worldwide Uganda is implementing a USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development
Food Aid programme called “Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture and
Nutrition RWANU”) in Karamoja. RWANU will focus on two strategic
objectives to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in
selected sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja: (1) Improved availability and
access to food and (2) reduced malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers
and children under five.

- The Field Coordinator must possess a
bachelor’s degree in community development, preference for a degree in a
Health related field. - Three years’ experience a in health and nutrition
related development work in a challenging environment, preferably with an
International NGO. - The candidate should have, at minimum, a
basic understanding of Ngakarimojong and be proficient in English language
both oral and written; - Broad understanding of health related
issues affecting poverty and the latest approaches to development - Past experience in management or
coordination activities, and demonstrated experience in integrating cross
cutting issues.
