motivated and knowledgeable individual for our client, a Telecom Products
Distributor.

Management and Information System Solutions. We are looking to recruit a highly
motivated and knowledgeable individual for our client, a Telecom Products
Distributor.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation
/ lining up of payment vouchers for both cash and bank payments; - Ensure
items issued tally with Requisitions and are authorized by the Manager; - Reconcile
supplier ledgers and stock ledgers; - Carry
out weekly stock counts to ensure adequacy of stock and accuracy of stock
records; - Entering
approved payment requests into accounting software; - Follow
up of Accountability advances, following procedures in the accounting
manual; - Posting
tax Invoices and receipts for clients; - File
all accounting documents in a professional manner; - Following
up on Due Accounts from the clients and reconciliation of clients’
accounts; - Preparation
of monthly bank reconciliation, NSSF, WHT and PAYE returns; - Participate
in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the company;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Assistant Accountant must possess a diploma in Business Studies preferably
Accounting or Business Administration from a recognized Institution or
relevant discipline; - A
minimum of three years’ relevant working experience in a similar busy
environment; - Good
financial management skills with knowledge of computer Accounting Packages
and good understanding of financial requirements and tax policies; - Good
Analytical skills and Ability to work under minimum supervision; - Self-motivated
with demonstrated ability to generate financial reports and meet set
deadlines with integrity and confidentiality; - Knowledge
of Tally or QuickBooks is an added Advantage; - A
good team player with good interpersonal, communication and creative
thinking skills.
