Bank, (NAGRC&DB) a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal
Industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a
comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to
recruit several Animal Husbandry Officers.

Job Summary: The Animal Husbandry
Officer is responsible for caring for the health of animals on NAGRC&DB
branch.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for
monitoring the health of animals. - The Officer monitors
the day today feeding of livestock. - Takes part in the
establishment, management and conservation of pasture. - Responsible for
record management for performance (e.g. milk, beef) of the stock on the
farm. - Daily stock taking of
livestock. - Offer support the
technical team in different activities including surgery and reproduction. - Develops linkages and
works with farmers surrounding ranch. - Perform any other
official duties assigned by the senior farm manager.
Qualifications, Skills
& Experience:

- The applicant must
possess a good diploma in Animal Husbandry or its equivalent from a
recognized institution. - He/She should have a
field working experience of at least five years. - Prior experience on
large farms or a ranch is of an added advantage.
