HIV/AIDS (PREFA) is an indigenous Ugandan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
with a historical focus on Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT).
In preparation for its three year CSF funded project, “Reduction of New HIV
Infections through Enhanced Community Engagement in Combination HIV Prevention
in Arua District.”
Summary: The Monitoring
And Evaluation Assistant’s primary role is to provide technical support to the
M&E Team. The M&E assistant will assist the M&E team in all quality
management functions including, but not limited to, the implementation of the
performance monitoring plan, data verification, data collection, data entry and
reporting. In coordination with the head of the department, M&E assistant
will liaise with the M&E officer and the project team to ensure timely and
consistent data collection, entry and reporting
Responsibilities:
- Assist
the M&E team in implementation of all planned activities of the team
for the program. - Enter
and analyze the various data collected into the M&E database. - Ensure
proper filing of reports and data collection tools. - Provide
regular reports on the status of databases. - Liaise
with staff in other organizations to facilitate the flow of information. - Assist
in organizing, monthly, quarterly data control and verification with
various data sources. - Ensure
there is no duplication of data, target groups, and activities implemented
within the framework of the program. - Identify
and locate backup documentation for reporting against indicators. - Conduct
site visits when requested to monitor and assist partners in data. - Collect
and process data to ensure high quality information. - Perform
any other tasks as identified by the head of the department.
& Experience:
- The applicant should possess a University degree in a related field
is a plus. - At
least two years in M&E experience in HIV/AIDS services. - Fluent
knowledge of spoken and written English. - Excellent
knowledge of Statistical programmes, Microsoft Office Suite and Access
database.
