Unit on AIDS based at the Uganda Virus Research Institute, Entebbe has obtained
funding from the Medical Research Council UK / Department for International
Development (DFID) under the African Leadership Award mechanism to undertake a
study on the mental health problems of children and adolescents living with
HIV/AIDS.
Psychologist Researcher will coordinate this study within the Mental Health
Research Project at the MRC/UVRI Uganda Research Unit on AIDS.
be a key member of the leadership of the study team, involved in planning and
coordination of work at the four study sites in Kampala/Entebbe and Masaka at
HIV care facilities.
- The
applicant must possess at least three years’ experience in mental health
research and preferably in the area of childhood and adolescent mental
health. - The
post will suit an individual who has a master’s qualification in
psychiatry or clinical psychology as well as proven leadership and
management skills.
