Ltd, a subsidiary of Balton CP, the largest agro inputs supplier in Uganda is
seeking to strengthen its operations by recruiting suitably qualified candidates
for the position above.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be
    responsible for the design, installation, testing and maintenance of
    irrigation systems as per the client requirement.
  • Administration
    of contract specification and quality control.
  • Documents
    and communicates system requirements, system layout, client information in
    a timely and accurate manner.
  • The
    job holder will be in-charge of  maintaining
    and troubleshooting of simple and moderately complex water supply and irrigations
    systems as required.
  • Overseeing
    locating, excavating and repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning
    equipment.
  • Diagnosis
    and recommendation for solutions for irrigation problems at client sites.
  • Develop
    departmental budgets & managing the department for growth.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The
    applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Water Engineering or related
    field from a recognized institution.
  • At
    least six years’ experience in irrigation system design, installation,
    maintenance & equipment management.
  • Good
    working knowledge in computer software programs including AUTOCAD, MS
    Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
  • Proven
    ability to manage job sites and lead a high performance team.
  • Strong
    communication skills, both written and verbal.
