- Be responsible for leading the development and execution of the institution’s long term strategy with a view to creating shareholder value.
- Provide strategic leadership to the institution on policy, resource mobilization and strategic partner development.
- Supervise the day to day management of the institution to ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures and systems.
- Act as a direct liaison between the Board and the management of GMFL and communicate to the Board on behalf of management.
- Be responsible for directing and motivating staff towards the attainment of the company goals and objectives.
- Communicate on behalf of the institution to shareholders, employees, Government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Be responsible for the implementation of external / internal audit recommendations.
- Be responsible for the public relations of the institution.
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field
- A Masters degree in a Business field with a bias in Finance.
- Five or more years managerial experience in microfinance/ finance institution with a successful track record of performance.
- High analytical and problem solving ability gained through professional & practical experience.
- Ability to work in a turbulent and un-predictable environment where responding and managing change is essential.
- Sound leadership, decision making and management abilities.
- Demonstrate critical competence in four broad categories: commitment to results, business, leading change, and motivation.
- Experience in handling Board governance.
