Summary: The Head of
Credit will guide and mentor the Credit Risk Management Unit and oversee
management of risks inherent in the credit process, loan documentation and
portfolio management.

- The
job holder will be responsible for the management of Credit appraisal
system - Implementation
of new & effective dimensions on portfolio risk management. - Ensuring
continued maintenance of a quality portfolio in line with bank standards. - Optimise
effectiveness and utilization of KASTLE in credit application processing. - Periodically
review Sectoral ceilings, discretionary authorities, portfolio measures
including industry limits, tenor limits, risk rating, NPLs, risk
acceptance criteria etc. - Responsible
for the formulation and constant review of the bank’s Credit policy. - Provide
on-going relevant training to all bank staff involved in lending business. - Identification
and management of substandard and non-performing assets portfolio.

applicant should possess professional qualifications i.e. CPA, AC IB,
AKIB, ACCA - He/
She should also hold a relevant University Degree in business related
field - At
least 5-7 Years in Credit Risk Management and general management. - Leadership
skills and ability to nurture and sustain employee satisfaction - Performance
management to optimise employee productivity - Organisation
development to effectively structure the unit - Knowledge
and experience in modern credit Risk Management - Inter
personal skills to effectively communicate and manage customers - Technical
skills to effectively perform or guide performance - Good
working knowledge of lending products
