governance and development processes in Uganda and enhance their operating
environment. Its constituency comprises National, Regional and International
NGOs operating in different parts of the country.

Job Summary: The Communications
Officer will ensure the full implementation of the organizations
communications, public relations and campaign plans to build a dynamic UNNGOF
identity and presence in Uganda and across East Africa.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

- Coordinate communication and media engagements
- Ensure UNNGOF publications and products meet
the set standards - Set up and manage a dynamic organizational
resource center - Maintain digital media usage and platforms such
as the Website, Facebook, Twitter and SMS - Develop annual work plans and budgets for the
Communication and Knowledge Management Component and ensure delivery of
set targets - Coordinate and facilitate organizational learning
processes - Coach, mentor and supervise staff in the
component - Perform any other duties as may be assigned by
the Head of Programs
Qualifications, Skills
and Experience:

- The applicant should hold a good Bachelor’s
degree in Mass Communication or a related field - At least three years’ experience in a
Communications role. - Prior experience with working in an NGO will be
an added advantage - Possess good writing skills and proficient
- Computer literacy skills
- Ability to take initiative and work within a
team environment
