Job Summary: The Financial
Accountants will provide accounting support within the Capital and Contracts
Division and in particular, maintain accurate individual project financial
records throughout the project life cycle, as a basis for reliable financial
reporting.

- Maintain the individual project financial
records to enable production of accurate status reports for financial
accounting and management information within the Capital and Contracts
Division - Check and confirm cost components are accurate
and complete - Prepare accurate project cash flow forecasts
and monitor fulfillment of obligations to suppliers and contractors. - Analyse project records to explain variances
between actual performance and budgets - Liaise with project managers to conclude on
material reconciliations - Prepare cost absorption schedules for
individual projects and maintain reconciliation to actual costs
- Perform any other duties as assigned by
supervisor
Qualifications, Skills

- The applicant should hold an Honours degree in
Accounting, Business Administration (Finance), or associated discipline. - Additional professional accounting
qualifications i.e. ACCA, CIMA, CPA (U) - A minimum of three years’ experience in a
professional role in business or accountancy practice environment. - Strong technical knowledge and experience of
business, accounting and finance concepts including IFRS, processes and
controls - Possess good analytical skills and ability to
constructively present and report findings verbally and in written reports - Knowledge and experience of SUN accounting or
other similar system is desirable. Capable user of MS Office - Team-based project work experience is desirable
- Proven impeccable integrity in business
dealings and adherence to organisational policies, code of business
conduct, standards, and health and safety policies - Confident and possess good capacity to plan,
implement and report on own work - Good communication skills and experience of
interacting with senior engineering, finance and supporting functions
