Analyst / Programmer
Commission of Uganda serves the following functions;
- To appoint,
promote and exercise disciplinary control over persons holding public
office in Parliament; - To review the
terms and conditions of service, standing orders, training and
qualifications of persons holding office in Parliament; - To provide a
Parliamentary reporting service; - To provide such
other staff and facilities as are required to ensure efficient functioning
of the Parliament; - To cause to be
prepared in each financial year, estimates of revenue and expenditure for
the next financial year; and - To make
recommendations to Parliament, or with the approval of Parliament,
determine the allowances payable and privileges available to the Speaker
and Members of Parliament.
Analyst will analyze, design, develop and maintain Information technology
systems.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and design information systems
- Develop and maintain information systems
- Conduct the selection and acquisition of
necessary software and hardware - Test and implement new information systems
- Prepare system documentation and user manuals
for Information Systems - Train and support users of Information Systems
- Prepare periodic reports for the section
Experience:
- The applicant should posses an Honours
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information
Systems, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering - Additional IT Certification such as Oracle,
Microsoft or ITIL plus active professional membership shall be an added
advantage. - At least three (3) years working experience in
systems analysis, development and maintenance as well as programming on
Linux and Windows Operating Systems - Proficiency in use of C, JAVA, PHP, VB, C# and
Python programming languages - Advanced skills in database management,
development and modeling using SQL - Knowledge of standard development tools such as
IDEs and RAID - Good analytical, communication and
interpersonal skills
