sector in Uganda with a Vision “To be a leading Water Utility in the World.”
NWSC is a utility parastatal 100% owned by The Government of Uganda. It was
established in 1972 under decree No: 34. The mandate of the Corporation as
defined in the National Water & Sewerage Corporation Statute of 1995, Section
5 (1), is to operate and provide water and sewerage services in areas entrusted
to it, on a sound, commercial and viable basis. The NWSC operations were
initially in three towns of Kampala, Jinja, and Entebbe.

Job Summary: The Senior IS
Auditor will be carrying out Information Systems Audit Plan and ensuring that
the systems controls are appropriate and functioning well.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute the implementation of the Information
Systems Audit plan - Managing the Information Technology risks
- Draw up audit programs and procedures for
Information Technology audit assignments. - Oversee and manage activities in the
Information Systems Audit unit. - Prepare timely and accurate reports.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelors Degree in
Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, Engineering. - S/he should also possess the professional Certified
Systems Information Auditor (CISA) Certification or its equivalent. - Strong understanding of enterprise risk management
and use of IT- related professional framework (e.g. COBIT, or ITIL). - Knowledge of SQL and DB2
- Knowledge of progress database systems and
possession of ICT certifications (CCNA, MCSE) will be an added advantage. - A minimum of four (4) years working
experience in auditing of information systems in a professional audit firm
or corporate internal audit environment. - High degree of integrity, commitment and focus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and bit
deadlines.
