Job Summary: The Project
Officer supports the department in successfully implementing its goals. He/she
will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring one o several
projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development,
implementation and monitoring of one of several areas / projects within the
department - Responsible for the budget of the projects
under their scope - Support senior management in preparing
strategic recommendations - Support senior management or National
Department Manager in preparing regular repots according to DSW guidelines
and procedures. - Represent DSW towards external stakeholders
in areas of responsibility like being member of working groups, reference person
for parliamentarians - Offer technical support and training to
staff members and other partners. - Perform any other duties as assigned by
superiors
Qualification Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should
hold a Bachelor’s degree
in Social Sciences, Project Planning, Development Studies or related
discipline. - Fluency in English (oral and written) with
at least 2 local languages from eastern Ugandan districts of Jinja,
Kamuli, Busia and Tororo. - Excellent communication
skills - Computer literacy skills
- Three years working
experience in a relevant field. - Experience in
community mobilisation and implementing SBGV projects. - Good facilitation
and presentation skills - Ability to manage
social cultural dynamics
