Chemical Industries Ltd (QCIL) is a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant,
producing anti-retroviral and anti-malarial drugs at Luzira Industrial Park in
Uganda. The company is a joint venture between Quality Chemicals Ltd- a local
drug distribution company and CIPLA Ltd- a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer
from India.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take lead of the
Project execution on site in line with the Engineering Specifications and
Standards. - Ensure that the
construction project complies with all building codes and any other legal
or regulatory requirements. - Set up the
estimates, budgets and the construction timetable and develop the
construction strategy. - Select the
subcontractors and workers, and provide required explanations for the
builders and other professionals associated with the project. - Coordinating and
collaborating with the architects, engineers and specialists to handle all
site issues.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant
should possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably with
specialization in construction Management) or related field - At least eight 8
years of demonstrable experience in Construction Management. - He/ She must be
conversant with MS Projects, MS Office and AUTOCAD - A Post graduate
qualification in Project Planning and Management will be an added
advantage - Working
experience in industrial projects of not less than 08 years a preferably
with Pharmaceutical Industry background will be an added advantage. - The desired
candidate should have exceptional communication and inter-personal skills,
ability to work under pressure, manage critical assignments and excellent
attention to detail.
