Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established by an Act of
Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and
other medical supplies to public health facilities. Our vision is “A Population
with Adequate and Accessible Quality Medicines and Medical Supplies.” Our
Mission is “To effectively and efficiently supply essential medicines and
medical supplies to public health facilities in Uganda”
store- keeping activities, including stock verifications and record – keeping.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify supplies from suppliers or other warehouse zones
under the supervision of the stores assistant in line with the stores
manual - Pick and pack consignment in line with the operation manual
- Move goods within the NMS warehouse only as directed by the
supervisor - Maintain correctness of stock balances on both physical locations
and system record - Enter appropriate records of stock receipts, movements and issues
affected unto bin cards / or the warehouse management system in line with
the operations manual - Carry out surveys of locations and assigned area to ensure
correctness of physical stock against system or bin cards records - Maintain good housekeeping practices in assigned work area
- Safely operate assigned warehouse equipment and keep them in a good
working in line with the operational manual
- The applicants should possess relevant Diploma qualifications
- At least a credit in mathematics at ordinary level education
- Prior work experience in a large pharmaceuticals store an advantage
