Internal Audit and Compliance

financial and Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans.
MSC Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain
namely; production, value addition and marketing enterprises.
Internal Auditor (IA) will be responsible for the execution of Audits for the
Company and the clients in order to enforce compliance to regulatory framework
and risk management best practices.
- Execute Audits in accordance with the
annual work plans and as instructed by the supervisor. - Support the Audit team to create and
maintain Audit records for future reference. - Assist the Audit team to evaluate
adequacy of any internal controls of a new system being introduced. - Participate in conducting Audits of the
Zonal Office and the clients. - Assist the internal Audit in identifying
risk potential areas in the Company and recommend remedial action. - Participate in conducting impromptu cash
counts. - Perform any other duties as assigned by
the Internal Audit Manager
Indicators:
- Implement internal audits assignments as
allocated by the Manager - Well maintained audit records.
- Prompt identification of risk potential
areas in the Company and recommend timely remedial action.
Experience:
- The candidate should hold a Degree
(Honours) in Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration with emphasis
on accounting (accounting major). - Level/Part II of any professional
accounting qualifications recognized under Accountants Act cap 266 will be
of added advantage. - Experience in automated accounting
systems will be an added advantage. - Two or more years working experience in
accounting/Auditing with a reputable organization, preferably in the
financial service industry. - Maintains professional standards of
performance by keeping current with best Internal Audit practices through
self-training and participating in recommended courses and in-house
trainings. - Demonstrate competent knowledge of
accounting principles, auditing standards techniques, laws and regulations
governing the Financial Services Sector in Uganda. - Self driven with high sense of
responsibility. - Ability to meet deadline with minimal
supervision. - Strong Interpersonal skills.
