Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established by an Act of
Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and
other medical supplies to public health facilities. Our vision is “A Population
with Adequate and Accessible Quality Medicines and Medical Supplies.” Our
Mission is “To effectively and efficiently supply essential medicines and
medical supplies to public health facilities in Uganda”
responsible for the Registry and related efficiency of the unit.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and budget for the information management function in line with
NMS set procedures - Receive, register, and dispatch mail in line with the Registry
Procedures. - Develop and maintain a filling system for the NMS Registry and
Archive in line with the Registry Procedures and set guidelines - Access, store and disseminate NMS records and documents in line with
the Registry Procedures and guidelines. - Conduct subject classifications and security grading of all records
in line with the registry Procedures and set guidelines. - Review NMS records and documents in the Central Registry, weed
inactive files to the archive and dispose of obsolete records and
documents in line with Registry Procedures and NMS guidelines. - Supervise the use and movement of files in line with the Registry
Procedures. - Co-ordinate the emails of the Corporation in line with set
guidelines
- The applicant should possess an Honors Degree in Library and
Information Science, Bachelor of Records and Information Management or
Bachelor of Records and Archives management from a recognized institution - Three or more years working experience in a Registry.
