UTB:
(UTB) is a statutory organization established by the Tourism Act, 2008. The
objectives of UTB are to promote and contribute to the development of the tourism
sector both within and outside Uganda; to coordinate with the Ministry of
Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities and the private sector in the implementation
of the national tourism policy and to such activities as are incidental or
conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.
Summary: The finance
manager will oversee the organizations financial operations, mobilise resources
and effectively manage all financial tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Finance
policy formulation - Financial
planning, budget formulation and implementation - Revenue
generation and collection - Cash
management and enforcement of internal controls - Management
and statutory financial reports - Cost
effective utilisation and accountability of financial resources - Develop
financial procedures and controls - Enforce
compliance of financial procedures and controls
Performance Indicators:
- Write
quarterly reports in regard to the performance of the Finance department - Mobilize,
collect and ensure proper resource utilization and accountability - Monitoring
the preparation and submission of financial reports, management accounts,
financial statements and forecasts - Facilitating
internal, external and donor audit findings - Monitoring
the financial performance of UTB - Coordinate
Departmental budget preparation - Compile
UTB master budget - Match
annual budgetary revenue requirement with expenditure requirements
and Experience:
- The
candidate should possess an accounting Degree with professional qualifications
i.e. ACCA, CPA, CIMA - Five
or more years of experience in a Finance position with a successful track
record of performance in a reputable organisation - Proficiency
in report preparations - Proficiency
in IT skills
