Strategy. MSC facilitates access to affordable, sustainable and convenient
financial and Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans.
MSC Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain
namely; production, value addition and marketing enterprises.
Information Technology officers (ITOs) will primarily be responsible for the
installation and maintenance of the Information Systems (IS) of the Company and
providing technical guidance and support to users.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a computerized
data bank on all the information of the Company’s activities. - Create and manage a computer network at
the Head Office and Zonal Offices to ensure easy access of information. - Responsible for the daily maintenance of
the management information system. - Produce periodic management reports that
may be required. - Participate in needs assessment and
provide technical assistance to the Company and clients. - Install and implement hard and software
upgrades and changes and test them for integration. - Provide onsite technical assistance to
system users. - Implement IS security and contingency
plans in line with policy. - Perform any other duties as assigned by
supervisor
Indicators:
- Ensure adherence to MSC IT policies and
procedures - Well functioning computers in all MSC
offices - Updated IT hard and software
- Implement IT security mechanisms in line
with company policies
Experience:
- The candidate should hold a Degree
(Honours) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or
other related fields from a recognized University/Institution. - ICT professional certifications such as
Cisco Certified Networking Associate/Professional (CCNA/P or Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2000/2003 is an added advantage. - At least two (2) years of experience in
working with ICT systems in a busy organization; - Experience in the computer programming
and software development is required. - Must be a team player, result oriented
and must be self driven. - Self driven with high sense of
responsibility. - Ability to meet deadline with minimal
supervision. - Strong interpersonal skills.
