Title: Director, Support Services
Station: Uganda
TAF:
is in the process of enlarging its hospitality facilities and services to a
focus on health-related education, a study and retreat facility, and ultimately
to medical treatment. The Foundation is in search of an administrator with
strong accountancy and managerial experience to provide the leadership to a
team of technical professionals that contribute to the establishment of a new
division at TAF.
Summary: The Director,
Support Services will have the major responsibility of heading a support/
service department that facilitate work of other business units of multiple
functions under the TAF umbrella. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader
and a manager with a wide range of experience in complex organizations in which
the work of the support/ service department coordinates and facilitates the
other business units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- He/she
recommends policies and procedures
regarding financial and internal control issues; - Reviews
statements of accounting information and other reports provided by other
units; Initiates the planning and budgeting process in all business units,
and consolidates the resulting plans and budgets for decision-making by
TAF; - Leads
the different business units in monitoring and evaluation activities; - Ensures
business units are well supported with ICT, financial resources,
communication facilities, infrastructural and equipment needs; - Oversees
the procurement and disposal processes for TAF assets; - Plans
and organizes the recruitment of staff; - Participates
in the disciplinary process for staff below the directors
Skills and Experience:
- He/she
must possess as a minimum, a relevant degree from a recognized university
and being in possession of post graduate training/ qualification an added
advantage - Adherent
to, or not opposed to, the Christian faith - Possess
over 8 years’ experience of demonstrated leadership and management skills
in a dynamic organization(s - Must
possess knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques - Strong
computer literacy skills and proficiency with spreadsheet applications - Possess
extensive knowledge in financial management

two-year contract appointment with the possibility of extension to 5 years with
one year on probation.
