About NCDC:
The National Curriculum
Development Centre is a corporate body under the Ministry of
Education and Sports. It is responsible for inter-alia development of curricula
and related materials for various level of education (i.e. Pre- Primary,
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary), organizing capacity building courses for
stakeholders on curricula and matters related to curriculum.

Job Summary: The Curriculum
Specialist (BTVET –Agriculture) will develop curricula and curriculum
related materials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiates and develops
ideas on curricular reforms. - Develops and. prepares
subject syllabi, teachers’ manuals, texts and other related curriculum
materials. - Organizes and conducts
writing workshops. - Writes, coordinates
and edits curriculum units developed by the panel and other teachers. - Organizes and conducts
orientation courses for teachers. - Popularizes education
in the relevant subject. - Services the subject
panel by planning and convening meetings, preparing working papers and
furnishing the necessary data and relevant research reports. - Any other duties as
may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should
possess a Masters degree in Agriculture or related fields - Bachelor of Science in
Agriculture and a Diploma/Certificate in Agricultural related field - A qualification in
education will be an added advantage - At least four years
teaching experience at a technical college or institution of higher
learning and field experience in agricultural related work.
Age: Below 50 years
