Job
Summary:
The Chief
Financial Officer will demonstrate not only expertise in financial management
in a diverse business environment but also be able to contribute effectively to
strategy development, business & operational management and provide
leadership to the overall organization.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • All
    aspects of financial matters including accounting, financial control,
    financial reporting, management reporting, business planning, budgeting
    and forecasting;
  • Development
    of an anti-fraud and a revenue assurance regime to avoid revenue leakage
  • Implementation
    and continued development of reporting systems, key performance indicators
    and accounting policies to enable effective business decision making and
    an adequate control environment;
  • Offer
    support the General Manager in business decision making
  • Drive
    ongoing initiatives to maintain cost savings and ensure that the operation
    is managed on a least cost culture.
  • Negotiating
    and raising financing
  • Effective
    management of Tax and Treasury affairs
  • Ensuring
    due processes are maintained for corporate governance
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicants should be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Experience
    of at least six years working in high growth environments with an
    operational focus.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills and the presence to quickly establish credibility
  • Highly
    computer literate with advanced computer skills and appreciation of
    complex IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Proven
    track record, where they have been member of a management team;
  • Strong
    tax and treasury skills
  • Dynamic
    and resilient personality with the ability to work in interdisciplinary
    teams and in a fast paced environment;
  • Mature
    personality with strong negotiation and communication capabilities
  • Fluency
    in English is essential for this role.
