Dairy Development Authority
(DDA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry
and Fisheries (MAAIF), that was created under the Dairy Industry Act of 1998
with the mandate to develop and regulate the dairy industry in a sustainable
manner.

Job Summary: The Principal will co-ordinate the
implementation of the Dairy training programmes aimed at producing well trained
human resource for dairy value addition extension services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To train stakeholders in product
development, value addition and quality assurance among others. - To monitor the academic programmes of the
school. - To participate in the day to day
management of the school. Develop and implement rules and regulations for
the school. - Develop tailor made courses in
consultation with stakeholders to suit the needs of the dairy sub- sector. - Participate in the development of the
school curriculum. - To generate and coordinate orientation
programmes for new students. - To participate in the evaluation of
training material and courses. - To ensure training materials are produced
and periodically reviewed. - To design and produce certificates of
attendance. - To design means and ways of generating
resources to make the school run smoothly and independently. - To develop quarterly and annual work plans
for the school. - Represent the school in the different
fora.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- All candidates should possess Bachelor’s
Degrees in Dairy Technology, Dairy Science, Food Science Technology, or
related qualifications from recognized institutions of higher learning.
Post graduate qualification in a management related field. - At least 5- years of relevant working
experience. - Good knowledge and skills in milk
processing best practices, - Quality systems and application of dairy
standards, laws and regulations relevant to the dairy industry.
