60 offices with 4,400 staff in the U.S. and around the world
for Healthy Communities (CHC) five year program designed to support the GOU and
partners to design and implement quality heath communication interventions to
contribute to reduction in HIV Infections, total fertility, maternal &
child mortality, malnutrition, malaria & tuberculosis. CHC aims to achieve
this through the use of innovative approaches, capacity strengthening,
increased collaboration among partners, and rigorous research and knowledge
management for health communication.
Management Officer will equip the CHC project and partners with the systems and
disciplines for demonstrating results, identifying learning and promoting
improvements at project and programme level throughout the life CHC. The
position will contribute to transparent and robust reporting and information
dissemination.
- Develop and implement the knowledge
management (KM) strategy (within project team and partner levels) - Offer technical support the M&E
Officer in implementing a cross-team approach to M&E and KM to build
strong, productive relationships with all staff functions and partners - Support the integration and monitoring of
‘value for resources’ dimensions in the overall M&E framework. - Offer support to the Data Manager to
development of a robust, comprehensive database - Support in developing systems and
procedures so that proposals for implementation include robust M&E
plans - Identify capacity needs and build
capacity of partners in relation to M&E and KM - Help in the capture and input of key results
for quarterly and annual reporting - Perform any other duties as assigned by
superiors.
- The candidate should possess a master’s
degree in social and behavioral sciences and / or business OR development
research, - 5-7 years’ experience in the design and
development of knowledge management/sharing systems, organizational
development, or organizational/systems change management. - Good understanding of concepts, tools and
features of help desk operations and of knowledge dissemination via
web-based and Print publishing; - Experience in establishing effective
partnerships within and outside the organization - Proven ability to write concise reports
and deliver effective oral presentations; - Good working knowledge of Uganda public
health and sociopolitical systems - Demonstrated interpersonal skills,
including the ability to collaborate effectively in networks and
communities of practice
