Job Summary: The Contracts
and Supplier Relations Manager will provide an efficient and effective Contracts
Management and Supplier Relations function, within a high performing Contracts
Division with annual activity levels up to USD 100 million, to ensure that the
Umeme 5 year Capital Investment Plan is delivered on time, within budget and
that all Umeme requirements for goods and services can be met.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should be a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or
equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification. - Ten
or more years experience in a similar position preferably in a utility or
a business with similar range and complexity. - Experience
in use of FIDIC contracts in engagements of consultants and contractors - The
ability to influence stakeholders of all levels right up to the most
senior business partners - Experience
with 3rd party delivery - Experience
in change management with the ability to deliver business transformation
programmes both as a manager, and as part of the team. - An
excellent communicator, with keen negotiation skills and a hands-on
approach. - Comprehensive
knowledge of Supplier management and contract management is desirable - Knowledge
of supplier management activities. - Ability
to influence stakeholders up to Head of Function. - Ability
to deliver change as an individual and as part of a team
