Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • The
    Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Mechanic Assistant will be performing
    preventative maintenance based on predetermined service schedules.
  • Performing
    fault finding and diagnostic test of engines, transmission and drive
    trains
  • Performing
    installation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of defective
    components on light motor vehicles
  • Attending
    to vehicle breakdowns
  • Maintaining
    shop tools and equipment in good, safe and clean working order, and
    reports deficiencies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    candidate should possess a diploma in automotive Mechanical Engineering or
    related qualification
  • The
    applicant should be currently be employed as Light Motor Vehicle Mechanic
    with minimum three years work experience
  • Prior
    work experience on Ford Ranger pick up trucks
  • Possess
    excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills.
  • Possess
    an ability to work within a team
