Regulatory Authority of Uganda
Reports to: Manager Insurance
will primarily ensure compliance with the provisions of the the job Insurance
Act (Cap 213) Laws of Uganda, 2000 and the Regulations thereof.
- Responsible for off-site and on-site
inspection of life insurance companies, insurance brokers, loss
assessors/adjusters. - Periodically review licence applications
for insurance companies, insurance brokers, loss assessors/adjusters and
insurance agents. - Respond to and follow-up on issues raised
in inspection and other correspondence with insurance players. - Monitor the implementation of the
provisions of the Insurance Act and advises on the adequacy of the law and
regulations. - Review proposals and policy forms,
reinsurance arrangements and premium rates for life insurance companies. - Perform any other duties that may be
assigned from time to time.
Experience:
- The candidate should possess an honors
degree from a recognized University with at least four papers of ACII or
ANZIIF. - A minimum of three (3) years’ experience
in life insurance underwriting/claims management in a reputable
firm / organisation. - Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Possess the ability to work under minimum
supervision. - Good Interpersonal skills
