Job Summary:  The Business Growth and Development Manager will
be responsible for assessment of marketing opportunities and target markets,
intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, generating leads for
possible sales, follow-up sales activity, formal proposal writing and business
model design.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Offer leadership and direction marketing,
    business development and external affairs function including development
    of marketing strategies that incorporate product development, promotion,
    communication, and selling.
  • To initiate thoughts and processes leading
    to overall business growth and development paying particular attention to
    marketing and client research and transformation impact assessment.
  • Investigate the economic conditions
    surrounding small business activity such as industry trends and
    competition.
  • Conduct extensive market research prior to
    starting up your business and continue gathering information throughout
    the life of the business.
  • Prepare a detailed business plan to
    maintain sight of Business goals and objectives
  • Secure sufficient financial resources for
    future development or expansion.
  • Attend workshops, trade shows, and
    seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry.
  • Develop a situation analysis of the
    Business including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to
    assist in the development of a strategic plan for the future of the
    business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should possess a Bachelors’
    degree/ Masters in Business from reputable Institutions with good grades
    in Business Administration Marketing or its equivalent from reputable
    institutions
  • Candidates should have at least 5 years’
    working experience in a financial institution and
  • Knowledge in Product Development
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A pro- active starter who can operate both
    individually and as part of the team
  • Outstanding needs analysis, positioning,
    business justification and closing skills
  • Superior presentation and excellent oral
    and written communication skills
  • High commercial acumen and a record of
    confidence dealing with middle managers through to decision markers
Age: 30 and 40 years
