Director, British American Asset Managers Ltd with a dotted functional line to
the Chief Executive Officer – Uganda;
holder will be responsible for building company position by locating,
developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships in the
Uganda market
Responsibilities:
- Locate and prospect business deals by
contacting potential partners whilst discovering and exploring
opportunities in the areas of institutional sales, property development,
private equity and unit trust products - Identification of opportunities for property
investment and partnerships - Identify and engage potential clients for the
institutional, property development, private equity and unit trust product
lines - Generate sales for the institutional,
property development, private equity and unit trust product lines - Close new business deals in the identified
areas by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts;
integrating contract requirements with business operations - Develop and manage relationships with trustees
and gate keepers - Prepare service offer tender documents
- Conduct effective research to determine
business viability - Development of deal pipeline for effective
deal flow - Liaise with head office in Nairobi for
effective support and turnaround timelines - Gather and share industry data to facilitate
informed decision making.
& Experience:
- The applicant should possess a bachelor’s
degree in a business related field. A post graduate degree will be an
added advantage - Professional qualifications in finance or
investment related area - At least 5 years in real estate, investment
management, corporate finance, investment banking or stock broking - Working knowledge of the investment
management and reporting systems - Knowledge of investments and financial
markets in Uganda and rules governing the financial industry in Uganda - Familiarity with other disciplines related to
business, such as finance, market research - Strong attention to detail
- Good knowledge of best practice
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to
work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment; - Excellent written and verbal communication
skills; - Business to Business relationship management
experience; - A demonstrated track record of sales.
