About DII:
DII is a Ugandan registered indigenous NGO whose mission is “to
improve the quality of life of the informal sector communities through
interventions that mitigate the impact of disease, promote sustainable
development and empower communities to champion their own development. With
support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DII is implementing
Strengthening HIV/AIDS Response in Market Communities (SHAREM) project in Lira,
Mbale and Mbarara Districts. Also with support from AIDS Healthcare Foundation/
Uganda Cares, DII is working with the same partner to implement HIV/ AIDS
activities in Small, Rakai, Kampala and Wakiso Districts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the maintenance of a working
    environment that yields productivity and furnishes essential office
    supplies.
  • Ensures that all office equipment
    including the photocopier, telephones and computers and their accessories
    are properly maintained, i.e. serviced on time and any breakdowns
    rectified.
  • Maintain an effective medium of communication
    and close collaboration among the workers in the organization.
  • Maintain all financial records of the
    branch office.
  • Handle branch office petty cash.
  • Conduct all cash reconciliations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should hold a Diploma in
    Business Administration — Accounting option, or any other related field.
  • Strong administration and management
    skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills and ability to initiate and foster networks with Community based
    groups and collaborating partners
  • Good Computer literacy skills,
    particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to speak and read the local
    language in the location of interest will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in carrying out similar work
    will be an added advantage.
  • Age: less than 30 years of age.
