Job Summary: The CERT
Analyst will plan, execute, assess and monitor all tasks assigned under the
Project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, assess and monitor all
tasks assigned under CERT UG; - Manage the CERT Uganda Help
Desk and raise tickets for all confirmed probable incidents; - Conduct risk assessment and security
analysis on the reported incidents; - Respond and provide support to the CERT
Uganda Constituents; - Produce periodic or ad hoc reports of high
quality for incidents, security threats and vulnerabilities; - Develop training modules and technical
documentations; - Conduct knowledge sharing sessions among
other technical personnel on lessons learnt and new findings; - Comply with all CERT UG’s policies,
procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science/ ICT/ Engineering (Electronics,
Telecommunications, Computer) or any relevant area; - Knowledge of Internet applications and
Cyber security; - At least three (3) years of working experience
in Information security or relevant field; - Professional certification in any related
field such as ICT security, CISSP/ GCIA/ GCFA/ CEH/ CISA/ CISM is an added
advantage; - Knowledge of at least 2 operating systems
(UNIX and Windows); - Knowledge of security risks, threats and
vulnerabilities; and - Knowledge on cryptographic technologies.
- Good working knowledge of computer
hardware, internet applications, cryptographic technologies, security
risks, threats and vulnerabilities, and risk assessments; - Knowledge of at least two (2) operating
systems (UNIX and Windows); - Good managerial and interpersonal
skills; - Strong analytical skills with ability to
prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently; - Willing to travel on short notice;
- A good team player with good personality
and ability to manage stress; and - Self-starter with high sense of urgency in
making deliverables and capable of protecting confidentiality of
information.
