Engineering Manager
an Electricity Distribution Company listed on the Uganda and Nairobi Securities
Exchange, with Actis’ Infrastructure 2 fund as a majority investor. Actis is a
leading investor in the emerging markets, managing over US$4.8bn worth of
investment on behalf of more than 100 institutional investors, including the
Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC), a UK Government owned company.
Job Summary: The Customer
Service Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of Engineering services
for all Customers.
- Systematic
management of all resources, People, Materials and Processes - Ensuring
customers are connected to target times and in a network efficacious
manner - Ensuring
Asset inspection programmes are delivered and recorded to time and quality - Delivering
customer responses, planned and unplanned in a systematic, efficient and
safe manner - Managing
Planned Maintenance programmes whether delivered by Umeme or by
Contractors - Managing
Planned and Unplanned outages in accordance with outage protocols - Delivery
of overall work planning and scheduling
- The
applicant should possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 (five)
years experience in industry. - Excellent
communications skills both verbal and written - Ability
to systematically manage key resources, People, Contractors, Systems and
Materials - Ability
to plan and to deliver the plan - Ability
to communicate above and below - Motivated
by excellence especially with respect to Customer Service
