Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Planning and controlling procurement
    services
  • Developing a procurement plan
  • Setting up a prudent procurement system
  • Providing timely technical advice to
    Accounting Officer, Contract Committees and Heads of Department
  • Evaluating procurement requirements and
    recommending appropriate procedures
  • Preparing periodic reports and providing
    secretarial services to the Contract Committees
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from
    time to time.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • All candidates should be Ugandans holding
    either of the following qualifications: An Honors Degree in
    Procurement/Purchasing and Supplies, BBA (Procurement option), B.Com
    (Procurement option) and a Masters Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and
    Supplies, Business Administration, Commerce. Full professional Membership
    to Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply [MCIPS] is a must.
  • Three or more years experience as a
    Procurement Officer in Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and
    Local Governments.
  • Good working knowledge of computer
    applications and IFMS 
Age: 30 years and above.
