Title: Sanitation & Hygiene

Station: Lira, Uganda.
ILF:
International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is a private, non-profit organization based
in Washington, DC. Within Uganda, ILF’s activities focus on increasing rural
water access, improving sanitation conditions, and combating deforestation with
fuel-efficient stoves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementing,
executing, analyzing & reporting baseline assessments and surveys;
ILF’s WASH impact on beneficiaries; - Assist
in the community mobilization and training processes - Leading
election and instruction of WUC, VHT and other training; - Developing
sanitation and hygiene materials such as training manuals; Researching and
assessing new methodologies relating to the sanitation and hygiene sector;
Responsible for WASH assets; - Documenting
field and office activities; compiling weekly and/or monthly reports; - Carry
out field visits that necessitate staying overnight, often several days in
a row.
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant should hold a diploma in Environmental Health Science. - The
applicant should posses experience in teaching S&H topics using PHAST
and CLTS methods; - Experience
in data collection with household surveys; - Past
or present working experience in community mobilization, specifically
working with LC1 and village leaders; - Experience
in previously training of Water User Committees (WUC);
