Job Summary: The HR
Director will be responsible for the overall management of the human resource
systems and practices within the region providing counsel on procedure and
policy interpretation; recruiting and retention strategies and employee relations
issues, and local employment laws.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop
consistent Regional HR policy - Align
human resources strategy and programs with the organization’s strategy - Manage
employee relations practices. - Investigate
and resolves external and internal charges / complaints of harassment
and/or discrimination; - Manage
the region’s recruitment and selection practices - Review,
audit and approve salary transactions according to applicable procedures. - Counsel
and advise management regarding salary planning/ compensation - Lead
and develop the regional human resources team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
HR Director should possess a Masters degree in human resources management,
business administration or related field. - Fifteen
or more years of progressive human resources experience - Experience
in the development of organisation policies - Must
possess a commitment to the belief that all people have the right to
dignity, respect, opportunity and full community inclusion. - Ability
to act as a strategic partner to organization-wide and regional
leadership, strong project, communication and time management skills - Strong
interpersonal, persuasion and creative problems solving skills are
required. - Working
knowledge in English, French and Kiswahili.
