position of Highway Engineer.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist
in the management and delivery of highways schemes (mainly large Road
schemes) including budgeting and resourcing - Provide
Professional and Technical Excellence in highway engineering - Provide
technical assistance and training to less experienced staff - Prepare
designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for highways
schemes. - Allocate
tasks to other members of the Highways Team and monitor progress. - Monitor
the designs and deliverables produced to ensure they meet the design
briefs set by clients - Ensure
designs and deliverables are appropriate and meet the expected levels of
technical excellence. - Seek
innovation in the delivery of schemes and techniques used to design and
construct them. - Ensure
the internal company quality system is actively applied to all highways
schemes.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should hold a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a
recognized institution and/or other additional qualifications related to
the job - Possess
good interpersonal skills and computer knowledge. - Ability
to work independently - Seven
or more years of relevant experience in similar position. - Post
graduate and Professional Registration will be an added advantage.
