Title: Data Officer
Station: Lira, Uganda.
ILF:
International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is a private, non-profit organization based
in Washington, DC. Within Uganda, ILF’s activities focus on increasing rural
water access, improving sanitation conditions, and combating deforestation with
fuel-efficient stoves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validating
and checking accuracy of all field data and filing correctly before
entering in the database; - Do
data comparison between data entered with source documents and ILF
programs; - Offer
technical support to field staff to collect required data regularly, using
systematically developed monitoring tools; - Conduct
timely entry of field monitoring data and generation of M&E reports; - Sharing
updated commercial stoves database every month with Senior M&E Officer
and Country Director for review and discussions; - Participate
in solving problems - Take
lead in proposing ways of improving data management in the M&E
department
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant should possess a Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science, Social
Sciences, Statistics with 3 years experience in data management and
analysis; - Past
experience in data management with an International NGO is desired; - Excellent
computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and other
data entry programs like SPSS, Epi-data; - Ability
think critically and pay attention to details; - Further
training in M&E is highly desirable
