RHU:
(RHU) is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF),
and its core mandate is to promote high quality, high impact and gender
sensitive Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights information and services through
capacity building, specialized service delivery, issue specific advocacy and
strategic partnerships. It is a volunteer owned and led organization, with the
volunteer body having a distinct role to play in governance, but not in actual
project management and implementation.
Summary: The
Community Resource Person will oversee and mentor Home/community based Resource
Persons (CPRs) to ensure enhanced community involvement and referral for
provision of quality HIV and AIDS plus SRH services to clients according to
Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise
and mentor CRPs including PHAs and care givers. - Participate
in community mobilization activities; market the service packages offered
by the project. - Monitor
the utilization of commodities and other supplies distributed CRPs; - Compile
and submit timely, accurate and complete service delivery data using the
M&E tools to the Service Provider In-Charge - Perform
any other professional duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Experience:
- A
Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration. - Knowledge,
practical skills and experience in reproductive social services delivery for
at least two years. - Training
in Counseling and ability and willingness to undertake day-to-day
fieldwork. Knowledge of local language is essential. - Good
communication and counseling skills. - Competency
to handle reproductive health issues and youth sexuality from a social
services perspective - Ability
to write and submit reports to relevant authority within set deadlines
Competencies: Financial
Management, Planning, Budgeting and Coordinating; Information and
Communications Technology, Problem solving and Team Work; Focused on quality
and standards, and ethics and integrity, Ability to work under pressure while
meeting strict deadlines with minimum supervision
