Title: Regional Reporting
Specialist
Station: Kampala, Uganda

to more than 1,000,000 clients through 22 wholly-owned and operated
subsidiaries in Africa, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East and South
Asia. FINCA is a pioneer in providing microfinance products and services
including credit, savings and money transfers to the lowest income
entrepreneurs.
Summary: The Regional
Reporting Specialist is primarily responsible for development of reports for
subsidiaries of FINCA providing financial services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop
new reports;
Fix
existing reports when deficiencies are discovered;
Support
reporting platforms used by the company;
Monitor
quality of reports developed;
Assess
complexity and provide time estimation for reports development;
Collect
business requirement for new reports;
Conduct
gap analysis of new requirements against existing reports;
The
Reporting Specialist should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in technical or Computer
science, Master’s degree is a plus.
Four
years of experience in software development and/or reporting in financial services
or banking area.
Demonstrated
experience working with Oracle databases and reporting tools.
Knowledge
of Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL).
Experience
of work in software development companies is an advantage
Strong
knowledge in banking operations and accounting is an advantage
Knowledge
of Microsoft reporting services is an advantage
Reasoning
Ability: Be able to setup priorities and make decisions under stress
conditions.
Computer
Literacy Skills: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft office products: Word, Excel,
Visio
Competencies: Analytical,
Technical Skills, Teamwork, Quality and Interpersonal Skills
in French is a plus.
