Job Summary: The Program
Officer will be directly responsible for the integration of nutritional
assessment, counseling, and support (NACS) into HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and
treatment services. The officer will work closely with the Care/Treatment and PMTCT
Advisors to plan for and implement improvement interventions aimed at bettering
nutritional outcomes among people living with HIV and AIDS as well as promoting
optimal infant and young child feeding practices, as per the national
guidelines.
Officer will be directly responsible for the integration of nutritional

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The job holder should possess a degree in
medicine (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognized institution and a
post-graduate qualification in Nutrition - At minimum of three years experience in
HIV programs in Uganda, preferably in the area of nutrition - Clinical experience in care and treatment
of HIV is highly preferred - Demonstrated ability to strategically plan
and manage the successful implementation of activities. - Effective communication skills and ability
to establish good working relationships with government officials,
international organizations and local partners. - Willingness to travel extensively within
the country.
