Summary: The Accountant
will be responsible for the maintenance of the accounting records and systems of the
company and offer financial information to management by analysis of accounting
data to key stake holders like; customers, internal directors and the
management team, external-financial institutions, URA and external auditors

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing
Asset, Liability, and Capital Account Entries by compiling and analyzing
account information. - Documenting
transactions by entering account information to the accounting systems. - Preparing
annual financial statements including balance sheet, profit and Loss
statement, Cash flow statement. - The
job holder will be preparing Monthly management accounts including monthly
balance sheet, Profit and Loss Account. - Maintaining
effective accounting controls by preparing and recommending the suitable
policies and procedures. - Storing
originating documents securely and carrying out regular database backups. - Maintaining
financial security by following internal controls. - Managing
and Supervising the Accounting Staff. - Preparing
payments by verifying documentation, and requesting for disbursements. - Ensuring
compliance with legal and tax requirements by studying existing and new
Legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management
on needed actions.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
job holder should hold a University degree in the relevant field - Professional
Accounting qualification - At
least three years work experience in the accounting position.
