Summary: The Fleet
Officer will maintain the fleet management system by generating periodical reports
that will inform management decisions to offer timely transport and logistics
needs support to all departments in URA in line with Administrative guidelines
and other relevant laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
job holder will monitor URA fleet insurance cover to ensure compliance
with traffic and road safety Act, motor insurance policy and
Administrative guidelines Process URA Vehicle License/Insurance Covers in
line with URA Revenue Procedures and Traffic Road Safety Act 1970 revised - Conduct
physical examination of vehicles before and after repairs to ascertain authenticity
of defect reports - The
Officer will use the Fleet Management System to monitor and follow up on
motor vehicle usage and the general compliance of the drivers with parking
regulations and log book usage. - Manage
the performance and development of transport office Drivers in line with - HRMM
and administrative guidelines - Give
transport requests and transport logistics across URA to ensure a seamless
process of work scheduling and work accomplishment
Skills and Experience:
- The
Fleet Officer should hold a Diploma in Motor Vehicle mechanics - Additional
training in fleet management - The
fleet officer should have a year’s experience in the area of fleet
management - Computer
Literacy skills and qualifications - Past
or present work experience in the role of a driver in a reputable
organization - Knowledge
of operation of vehicles and equipment (e.g., automobiles, trucks, motorcycles,
motor homes, forklifts etc)
Competencies:
- Ability
and experience in building, Leading and working with teams - Good
Interpersonal skills, written and Oral communication skills, including the
ability to communicate effectively within all levels in the Organization - Demonstrate
analytical and problem solving ability - Possess
a High level of integrity. - The
applicant must also posses a valid Driver’s License - Excellent
report writing skills
