Uganda has a proposed 5-year project which will be a district- based and integrated
health and health systems strengthening project in Uganda funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage
    the process for procurement planning and supply chain activities,
    inventory control, logistics and distribution, and ensure that processes
    function efficiently and effectively
  • Build
    capacity of partner teams in supply chain management
  • Offer
    leadership and liaise with the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate
    handling of commodities
  • Ensure
    availability of logistics data.
     
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • The
    applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with a minimum of
    5 years working experience in project management, including supply chain
    and logistics operations manage meet.
  • Familiarity
    with pharmaceutical supply chain requirements
  • Experience
    managing health commodity supplies will be an added advantage
  • Comprehensive
    knowledge of USAID and its contractual and reporting requirements
  • Ability
    to communicate technical supply chain matters in a dear and concise manner
  • Experience
    working on USAID-funded programs
  • Ability
    to work independently and manage a high volume work flow
  • Relevant
    computer software skills Strong written and verbal communication skills in
    English.
