Uganda has a proposed 5-year project which will be a district- based and integrated
health and health systems strengthening project in Uganda funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide
guidance, technical assistance and capacity building on HSS activities - Oversee
the design and implementation of the capacity building component of local
partners in HSS - Track
progress of HSS activities at sub-national level - Ensure
implementation of project activities in accordance with global HSS
principles
Skills & Experience:
- Experience
with HSS with applications to international health priorities such as:
HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, maternal and child health, and
reproductive health required Demonstrated ability to interact with donors,
implementing partners, and host country governments on HSS issues. - Relevant
computer software skills Strong mitten and verbal communication skills in
English. Experience working in Uganda preferred. - S/MA/MPH
in public health or related field - Five
to seven years working experience with international development programs
