Uganda has a proposed 5-year project which will be a district- based and integrated
health and health systems strengthening project in Uganda funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide
    guidance, technical assistance and capacity building or HMIS activities  
  • Conduct
    assessments on current HMIS systems
  • Collaborate
    with the Ugandan MOH, district health management teams, and the private
    sector to prioritize HMIS needs and interventions
  • Monitor
    field activities and ensure time/if completion of objectives
  • Oversee
    documentation of results, research and evaluation evidence, and lessons
    learned on HMIS interventions.     
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience
    working in Uganda preferred MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field
    with 5- 7 years of experience designing, developing, implementing and
    maintaining health data information systems
  • Ability
    to interact with donors, implementing partners, and host country
    governments on HMIS issues
  • Ability
    to work independently and manage a high volume work flow
  • Computer
    literacy  
  • Strong
    written and verbal communication skills in English.
