- Oversee the negotiation and establishment of new roaming arrangements.
- Ensure growth of MTNU’s roaming business by entering into Preferred Roaming agreements with major partners.
- Responsible for the commercial aspects of roaming (validation, assurance and reconciliation).
- Coordinate the technical configuration of the SCCP layer (signaling), TADIG and IREG testing, legal (contracts and PRDs) and any administrative issues for all the roaming partners.
- Carry out key negotiations on all carrier-related business agreements with local and international partners.
- Ensure operational end-to-end implementation of all carrier related contracts.
- Accountability for all commercial interconnect issues (billing, assurance, collection and dispute resolution)
- Ensure that there is proactive management of interconnect fraud and bypass traffic.
- Responsible for coordination of technical (dimensioning and configuration of the physical interconnection) and legal Contracts
- Responsible for the Routing management for all outbound international traffic to ensure best cost routing at all times
- Management of annual budgets for Interconnect & Roaming
- Responsible for the management of all carrier related relationships
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team, and motivate and train them to enhance their performance.
- The applicant should possess a Bachelor of Commerce or B.A Management or any related field.
- A Post Graduate degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA)
- At least 8 years working experience 4 years of which are attained working in telecommunications related environment.
- Strong and sound understanding of wholesale (ie interconnect) billing systems.
- Good knowledge of Mach procedures.
- Good knowledge of mobile network topology.
- Ability to interpret agreements and other legal documents.
- Good understanding of roaming and interconnect principles.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Network capacity optimization.
- Telecommunication cost methodologies.
- Revenue assurance.
- Strong Leadership skills (manage both internal and external resources) and results orientated.
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive analytical and problem solving skills.
