Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interprets building plans and supervise the construction of the housing projects as per specifications and schedule.
- Prepares work plans, materials schedules and other relevant documentation in a timely manner for proper planning and execution of projects.
- Supervises and evaluates works of contractors & pieceworkers.
- Prepares monthly project progress reports, weekly project briefs and cost capture.
- Measures and evaluates works done and prepares payment certificates
- Evaluates the quality of materials supplied to project site and & effectively manages the usage in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ensures a clean, safe and reliable work environment at site with a target of zero incidences and accidents.
- Plans for and manages the use of plant and equipment on site to ensure they are available and put to optimum usage.
- Participates in the evaluation of technical and financial proposals from contractors and other suppliers.
- Coaches, mentor, develop and regularly appraise staff.
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- The applicant should be a registered engineer with at least 5 years experience in project management.
- Post graduate qualification in related field would be an advantage
- Supervisory skills training
- Experience in large contract management is an added advantage
- Computer literacy in appropriate packages which must include MS projects.
