TASO:
Organization (TASO Uganda), an organisation contributing to a process of
preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of Life of
persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and disease.
Summary: The Programme
Officer M&E and Quality will conduct monitoring and evaluation of TASO
programs, as well as an independent appraisal of the quality of service
delivery and the effectiveness of the standards and procedures by which TASO
programmes are managed.
Performance Areas:
- Monitoring
& Evaluation systems developed - Monitoring
and Evaluation tools and feedback mechanisms developed - TASO
program progress reports consolidated - TASO
programs effectively monitored and evaluated Programme Audit plans and
checklists prepared - Programme
Audit exercises carried out, and reports compiled and submitted - Risk
assessment carried out
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consolidate
and integrate annual reports and other special reports and draw out
salient issues and action areas for necessary action by the relevant staff - Design
and update indicators, systems for monitoring and evaluation of TASO
programs - Prepare
check-lists for conducting programme audit exercises - Monitor
the implementation of programs and attainment of the targets specified in
the TASO strategic and work plans - Evaluate
the implementation of programs and recommend appropriate actions - Prepare
periodic monitoring and evaluation reports - Identify
factors hindering adherence to service delivery policies, guidelines and
quality assurance strategy and recommend corrective action to management - Conduct
risk assessment for TASO in areas of programme delivery - Review
all programme reports to identify bottlenecks to quality service delivery
Skills & Experience:
- The
candidate should possess a Degree in Statistics, Quantitative economics or
Social sciences. A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation will
be an added advantage. - Development
of Monitoring and Evaluation tools - Four
years experience in a Monitoring and Evaluation.
