Uganda has a proposed 5-year project which will be a district- based and integrated
health and health systems strengthening project in Uganda funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide
technical oversight to the design, planning, and implementation of the
project’s performance monitoring system - Monitor
the development and implementation of M&E activities per the projects
performance monffoling plan (PMP) - Offer
desk and on-site technical oversight to USE activities - Ensure
adherence to MBE methodologies and systems using developed tools and
indicators - Compile
and submit Data Quality Assessments and semi-annual reporting of data to
USAID - Build
core competencies of M&E staff in data collection, analysis and reporting:
- Provide
technical assistance to implementing partners in the design and
implementation of data collection tools - Assess
key project documentation, including reports and work plans.
Skills & Experience:
- MS/MA/MPH
in public health or related field, with 5 – 7 years demonstrated experience
in HIV/AIDS. RH/FP and/or other relevant services, including matemal
health, malaria and TB within international development programs. - Proven
working experience in the implementation of performance monitoring systems - Experience in epidemiologic and social science research, including
questionnaire development. data collection, data analysis and presentation - Computer proficiency in word processing, databases and spreadsheets, with
advanced skills in at/east two of the following programs: SPSS, Excel, Epi
Info, Slate, and MS Access - Experience
working on large USAID-funded programs - Ability
to work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow - Strong
written and verbal communication skills in English. - Experience
working in Uganda preferred.
