Summary: The Graphics
Designer will initiate and implement graphic designs or artworks of precise and
attractive adverts in line with client and management requirements to run in
the Monitor Publications within the set deadlines daily. The job holder
provides any graphical assistance or information relevant to this position that
may enhance the precise appearance of adverts; including scanning of raw
pictures, retouching artwork and logos for Use in newspapers.

Booking adverts: Receives adverts, pictures, artwork and
logos from editorial, advertising sales team and direct clients

Duality control: Checks for quality, sizes and specifications
of materials received

Designing /Typesetting: Artworks materials should meet
specifications required in accordance with the established procedure

Clients tend to send hand
written scripts or material for designing into finished work in the specified
format into appropriate database

Coordination with Copydesk

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The
applicant sh0uld possess a University Degree in Commercial Pointing,
Industrial Art and Design or a related field. A Professional qualification
in Graphics Design is an added advantage - Two
or more years working experience as a professional graphic designer - Working
knowledge of the programs for graphic design, animation and typography - A
creative and innovative thinker with good problem-solving skills - Ability
to multi-task - Ability
to work with deadlines - Strong
customer focus, Good planning and organizing skills
